Kent and I got Sophie on January 1st and she has ended up being the complete opposite of Sawyer. She’s outgoing and adventurous. The weekend after we brought her home when my parents were visiting she wasn’t bashful at all. Perhaps that’s why the two bonded so quickly.
The hardest part so far has been training her. We learned quickly that every time we clapped or said no that Sawyer thought he was in trouble. He has gotten use to that and will only look up when he knows he’s the guilty party but we still try not to use that method as much. The one thing that works on her that doesn’t bother him so much is the water bottle. The only place he doesn’t like to sprayed is in the face but sometimes all Sophie needs to hear is the sound of the water bottle spraying to stop what she is doing.
I had the thought the other day, as boisterous as she is I’m sure Sawyer has a calming effect on her and without him she would be ten times the spitfire that she already is.
